Nick Carbonaro of Seaworthy Films asked Prototope to help design a laser cut holiday card. Nick's sketch incorporated graphic elements representing the bi-coastal stretch of the LA-NYC based filmmakers. Prototope translated the design into a simple laser cut and folded card. The fold allowed many of the cut-out elements to pop out from the card without introducing a separate engraved or printed layer. The design also helped minimize the overall number of lines needed to create the card which helped boost the efficiency of production. With the exception of the single laser-etched line depicting the snow cap, the entire card is laser cut.
