In designing Prototope's business card, we wanted to quickly show both precision as well as various laser cutting techniques. The cards are made from 1/32" clear acrylic. The frosted text and marks on the ruler are laser engraved first, and then the various holes are laser cut in the lettering. The 1/32" extruded acrylic was used since it has a slight flexibility, making it a bit more durable than a slightly thicker acrylic.
